The Story of Redeemer Church
God has such an amazing way of bringing His plans about! We believe this has been a
God dream from the beginning. About 3 years ago God placed on Cole and Jeana
Calloway-Hodson’s hearts to relocate to Moberly to plant a church.
Sounds simple right?
Well not exactly. There were lots of questions and not a lot of answers in the beginning.
When? Where? How? Who will come and help us?! There was a lot of waiting in the early days. We know and trust that the Lord’s timing is perfect. So they began doing what we all do- they began living and working and getting to know the people of Moberly.
And as they did they began to fall in love with this place that God had called them to. In the summer of 2017 the Lord began to say it was time to get started. As He is always
faithful to do, He began to call other people to this crazy adventure. Mike and Mandy
Power were the first to say they were called to be a part. Then in mid-September Zandy
and Jenn Vandall relocated to Moberly to be a part of the plant. In November they had
their first core team meeting. They started praying and dreaming about what this Church
would look like- and they prayed for more people to join in this work!
Weekly core meetings started getting bigger- the Lord was sending more people- each with incredible stories of how the Lord was calling them here specifically. By mid-March seven families had said YES to Redeemer and whatever the Lord had in store. Our desire is to be the hands and feet of Jesus here in Moberly. That ALL people would be welcomed home at our gatherings- we are the Redeemed people of God and we want to see this city redeemed
for His Kingdom!
